British rider Sam Lowes has officially returned to the Moto2 championship next season with the Gresini Moto2 team.
Together with the Gresini team in Moto2, Sam Lowes has provided two wins and four podiums in the 2016 season, but he has had a bad luck as he climbed into the MotoGP class with Aprilia.
“I am very happy to be able to work again with the Gresini and Federal Oil racing teams,” Lowes said as reported by crash.net. “We have wonderful memories together and unfinished business from both sides.”
“I have learned a lot from the last few seasons and now it’s time to show it. I know the level of this team is and I have 100% confidence in them: my motivation is as high as ever and hoping to enjoy a successful new partnership with Gresini Racing, its partners and sponsors. Onit! ”
Gresini also works with Aprilia in MotoGP, but it looks like Gresini still likes Lowes while Aprilia doesn’t.
“Sam was welcomed again,” said Gresini. “He has been with us for two seasons and the first in Moto2 is one that must be remembered.
“I am happy to rely on his professionalism and talent, and with Federal Oil on our part again, I am sure we will come back on top in the middle class.”
