Speedcorner.net – Jorge Lorenzo managed to blast the Ducati team with his third win in Austria last week.
Lorenzo’s third victory also made Ducati realize that they had lost a great driver because of his own mistakes.
Before Mugello Ducati had no big hopes to Lorenzo, even when Lorenzo won at Mugello it might not be enough to convince Ducati. But when Lorenzo won at the Austrian GP yesterday, it was a big surprise for Ducati Manager, Davide Tardozzi.
And now Ducati claims to regret having released Lorenzo to Honda.
“It will be very disappointing to say goodbye to Lorenzo when the season is over. We give Honda a great gift.” Said Tardozzi.
Obviously this is a mistake from Ducati, and will be a valuable lesson for Ducati in the future. “This is a lesson, but even though next year will be an opponent but it will remain a strong friendship“.
Tardozzi also spoke and praised Lorenzo’s about victory at the Austrian GP last week.
“As a team we have a lot of talk about Marquez who will definitely attack in the final seconds, but our driver knows that Marc will try to do a lot of things in the corner, but Jorge is very smart and understands what he has to do“.
