Marc Marquez has the chance to overtake Jorge Lorenzo’s race record. In Japanese MotoGP, The Baby Alien can try to make it happen.
Japan MotoGP will be held on Sunday (10/21). Towards the Motegi Circuit, Marquez was on the verge of overtaking Lorenzo’s record.
The record is a winning record in a motorcycle race. Throughout his career, Marquez won 68 Grand Prix wins, just like Lorenzo. If you win, of course Marquez will overtake the record of his future teammate at Honda next season.
the most race wins in all classes are Giacomo Agostini with 122 wins, followed by Valentino Rossi (115), Angel Nieto (90), Mike Hailwood (76), then Lorenzo and Marquez.
In addition to overtaking Lorenzo’s winning record, Marquez also has the opportunity to lock the 2018 MotoGP world title in Japan. The 25-year-old rider just needs to win at Motegi to become a champion.
Currently Marquez is 77 points ahead of Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso who is his closest competitor, with the race leaving four more series.
