Speedcorner.net – Scott Redding has pulled his words through Instagram after claiming that Aprilia was “bullshit”. Aleix Espargaró’s teammate was frustrated with his appearance on the Red Bull Ring when the rain disappeared which made him slow down.
“It was a terrible weekend,” said the Briton at the end of the test. “When conditions are near the bicycle, I can see my potential, I can be fast, then dry again, and I am messy again,” he added resignedly.
But the thing did not stop there and launched one of the phrases of the weekend. “You can not make a piece of shit shine, I know it sounds hard and I should not say it, but that’s what the truth is,” Redding snapped.
Then, after several days of reflection, Gloucester apologized to fans and their team through their social networks. The driver justifies his attitude towards his youth, the fact is that he already has experience in MotoGP, this is his fifth season in premier class.
“I am here today to say that I owe a great apology to Aprilia and the corporate team. What I said in the afternoon of the interview Sunday after the race was unacceptable, that’s because I’m emotions from my heart,” he wrote on Instagram.
“But I spoke with the anger of a 25-year-old young man. I, 25, must be a model to follow, much more mature and calm. The Aprilia Racing team and company do everything they can to improve our MotoGP bike, we have some good elements to try this week and I still believe that this motorbike can compete, “said Redding.
“As a team, we work, we live, we all learn together, so from the bottom of my heart, I tell you deeply, I am sorry for my terrible words, I will learn from this,” he concluded.
